Kent residents are in for a treat this April as once again hundreds of free tickets are being given out by attractions across the county. The Kent Big Weekend will offer thousands of locals the opportunity to visit some of the region’s tops venues and best-kept secrets.
How do you apply for tickets?
The only rule for applying for tickets is that you must be over 18 years old and live in Kent.
To get started, simply browse through the various deals on the Kent Big Weekend website. Then choose which tickets you would like! There are 117 attractions on offer. Deals range from tickets to Diggerland or Howletts Wild Animal Park, to Jetstream Tours or a trip to the Old Dairy Brewery!
Attractions that are great for families with younger children include:
– Rare Breeds Centre
– Jungle Jims
– Hop Farm Family Park
– Minster Abbey Gatehouse Museum
– Spa Valley Railway
– Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway
– Stour Centre
– Wingham Wildlife Park
You’ll need to create an account to apply. You can enter the ballot for as many attractions as you wish. Just make sure you read the details for each attraction. Some are offering just one ticket per application, while others have family tickets up for grabs.
When does the ballot close?
The application for tickets closes on Friday 3rd March, so make sure you’ve applied for your top attractions by then.
If your application is successful – hurrah! – a member of the Kent Big Weekend team will contact you shortly after that date.
The tickets have a limited shelf-life and will need to be used on either Sat 1 April or Sun 2 April (see individual listings for details).
