Independent Midwives in Kent
Serving Kent, Surrey, South & Central London
Yours Maternally Independent Midwives offer individualised maternity care in your own home. I am experienced in supporting you in the birth of your baby, including water births. Most important of all, we are friendly and caring, whatever kind of birth you have. I have always been fascinated by the miracle of birth, particularly how nature is so clever. Witnessing women being supported through a natural process, learning to trust their bodies and welcome the changes in themselves is an honour.

Based in Bromley, serving Kent
I have been involved in birth for the last 10 years – initially as a professional homeopath and birth supporter and later as a midwife. I have a passionate belief in women’s power and capacity to birth, and in their right to make their own choices based on the best evidence available. I offer one-to-one, compassionate, expert, woman-centred care to keep you and your baby safe and protect and promote the normal, natural process of pregnancy, birth and the transition to parenthood.
Based in mid-Sussex, covering some parts of Kent
I have been a midwife since 1997. I trained after spending some years working for the NCT as a breastfeeding counsellor and tutor. I have worked in both NHS obstetric units and Midwifery led units, but most of my experience has been as a community midwife. As a mother myself, I have experienced a “high risk” consultant led delivery, a birthing unit birth and four of my children were born at home. I offer tailor made packages to suit you. This may include care for the birth as well as antenatal and/or postnatal packages. First consultations are offered free of charge. During this, we can discuss any particular concerns you have about your care as well as putting together a plan to meet your needs during this exciting journey.

Covering Kent & London
I have been practising as a midwife since qualifying in 1994, and have accumulated 20 years of extensive professional experience working as a midwife, both within the NHS as well as more latterly as an Independent Midwife. I worked solely for the NHS for the first 15 years and gained valuable experience in all aspects of midwifery care, in both the hospital as well as the community setting. After 10 years of practising as a midwife, I became increasingly frustrated by the conveyor belt of the NHS and began to consider launching my own Independent Midwifery Practice, as I wanted to offer women/expectant couples access to ‘personal midwifery’ support.
