With outdoor play at an all-time low, Sudocrem has announced its winners in this year’s national Play More campaign, now in its second year, which encourages children to get outside and Play More!

Based on new research carried out by the nation’s favourite nappy cream, British children spend an average of five hours each week outside, compared to 45.5 hours in front of the TV. According to Professor Sir Robert Winston, a supporter of the campaign, spending so much time using technology at the cost of time in the great outdoors can have an impact on a child’s development.

The aim of Sudocrem’s Play More campaign is to reverse this worrying trend by rewarding nurseries around the country who promote the great outdoors with £500 educational grants, to spend on outdoor play equipment. This year there were 15 winners!
